TITLE: NATIONAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE COLLECTION WORK


BRITISH LAWS AND REGULATIONS:

  • COSHH: Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations. It is a mean of documenting each procedure, issued by the Health and Safety executive, that became a legal requirement in the U.K. in 1989. The COSHH regulations are on the WEB site: http://www.open.gov.uk/hse/hthdir/agents.htm
  • ACDP: Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens, the ACDP guidelines can be seen on the WEB site http://www.doh.gov.uk/bioinfo.htm
  • Code of Practice for the Prevention of Infection in Clinical Laboratories and Post Mortem Rooms. Her Majesty's Stationary Office (HMSO), 1979.

ITALIAN LAWS AND REGULATIONS (issued in response to European directives):

  • D.lgs. 626/94 (implementation of Directives 89/654 CEE, 89/655 CEE, 89/656 CEE, 90/269 CEE, 90/270 CEE, 90/394 CEE, 90/679 CEE concerning improvement of safety and health of workers at their working place) and D.lgs. 242/9 (amendments and additions to the legislative decree 19th: 9/94 nr. 626 comprising implementation of CEE Directions concerning improvement of safety and health of workers at their working place).
  • D. Lgs. 91/93, implementation of Directive CEE 90/219/CEE
  • D. Lgs. 120/92, implementation of Directives CEE 88/320/CEE and CEE 90/18/CEE in matter of inspection and verification of the Good Laboratory Practice.
